North Shore Animal League America is currently seeking a BSF/Feline Program Associate to provide care to felines in the BSF program as well as BFF when not assisting with the program. Transporting animals to and from foster homes and vet hospitals. Conduct data entry for adoption applications. Assist in finding quality homes for as many animals as possible and caring for animals in our care. In this role, the perfect candidate will be responsible for the following:
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Transport animals to and from foster homes
- Transport animals to vet specialty hospitals for exams or drop off for procedures
- Perform data entry of all adoptions
- Transfer information to adoption applications from questionaries’
- Prepare supplies/paperwork needed for adoptions- adoption packets or discharges
- Perform adoptions when needed and process all paperwork
- Learn the Doc-u-sign application process to help finalize adoptions
- Follow up and care for felines at the League that are in the program leading up to transport
- Prep corporate sponsor mailings to all adopters
- Working in BFF when there is down time in the BSF program
- Help find felines for the BSF program and get their histories for foster parent(s)
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Must have clean driver’s license for a minimum of 3 years and be at least 21 years old
- Positive and friendly attitude
- Previous experience working hands-on with felines in a shelter environment or veterinary facility a plus
- Good communication and listening skills
- Ability to work independently
- Willingness to maintain sanitation of animal areas
- Desire to make a positive difference in the lives of animals
- Must be able to always conduct themselves in a professional manner
