Donation Structure

Promotions benefitting North Shore Animal League America are structured using the guidelines below:
Guaranteed minimum donation of $10,000. If the promotion does not result in $10,000 donation level from part of proceeds, the company is still contractually required to pay the full guaranteed amount.
The donation will vary depending on several factors including:

Length of promotion
Use of North Shore Animal League trademarks (e.g. name and logo, etc.)
Volume of products or services being sold

For all first time partners, Animal League America requires 50 percent of the guaranteed donation or minimum donation within seven days of contract signing.

Are you making a donation per product sold or a flat donation (a set amount based on the volume of products or services), regardless of how many products or services are sold? *

If you are making a per product donation (at least 10 percent of the retail price or 15 percent of the wholesale price), please identify the amount per product you intend to contribute to North Shore Animal League America?

Disclosure Regulations

Cause-related marketing programs that benefit North Shore Animal League America are regulated by the Better Business Bureau Wise Giving Alliance Standards for Charity Accountability as well as by applicable state commercial co-venture laws. There regulations require full disclosure to the consumer regarding the benefit to the charity when donations are raised through a consumer purchase on all packaging, advertising and promotional materials in clear and unambiguous terms. Transparency is mandatory.
If your program is accepted, North Shore Animal League America will work with your company to suggest appropriate disclosure language.
